Questions teams ask before signing up.
Why not just use a spreadsheet?
You can, until the spreadsheet becomes the system everyone forgets to update. areuworking is for the point where time off affects coverage, allowances, calendars, and manager decisions. It gives the team one shared place to book, review, and understand availability.
Can my AI assistants use areuworking?
Yes. areuworking includes an MCP server so compatible AI assistants can check availability, read balances, list requests, book leave, and review approvals using the connected user's permissions. The product also exposes agent-readable docs such as OpenAPI, llms.txt, product facts, pricing, and feature status.
Does areuworking support calendar feeds?
Yes. Teams can subscribe to auto-updating calendar feeds so time off stays visible in the calendar tools people already check.
Does areuworking import bank holidays?
Yes. areuworking can import public holidays by country, helping teams avoid manual holiday spreadsheets and missed non-working days.
How does approval work?
You can use approval flows that fit your team. Some teams want manager-level approvals; others prefer self-approval for simpler policies. areuworking keeps the request, allowance, and coverage view updated either way.
Is areuworking an alternative to HR platforms or spreadsheets?
areuworking is not trying to replace a full HRIS or payroll platform. It is a focused alternative for teams that mainly need time off, allowances, coverage visibility, calendar feeds, API access, and AI-ready availability data. Compared with tools like Personio, BambooHR, CharlieHR, or Timetastic, it stays deliberately lightweight. If you need full HR records, payroll, performance reviews, or recruiting, a broader HR suite may be a better fit.
Could we build this ourselves?
You could build a basic version. The harder part is maintaining allowances, bank holidays, approvals, permissions, calendar feeds, auditability, API access, and edge cases as your team changes. areuworking exists so you do not have to turn a weekend workaround into internal software you maintain forever.
Is there a free trial?
Every paid plan comes with a 14-day trial. We ask for a card up front so the trial converts smoothly when it ends - you can cancel any time during the trial from your account settings and you will not be charged. The Free plan never needs a card.
How does pricing work as my team grows?
Plans are flat-rate by team size. Free for up to 10 members, $19/month for 11-20, $49/month for 21-50, and $99/month for 51+ with $1/member over 100.
What is the Early Bird plan?
Early Bird is the current terms of the Free plan: up to 10 team members, no credit card, no time limit, and the feature list shown on the pricing page. We are keeping it open to new teams until 31 March 2027. Sign up before then and your team keeps the plan as it stands today.
What happens if we grow past 10 members?
Nothing breaks immediately. You get a 14-day grace period to either upgrade to Startup ($19/month for 11-20 members) or bring the team back under 10. Your data stays put either way.
